Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (ToS) define the conditions for accessing and using the CertiFoodie platform, published by Openlime SAS. CertiFoodie is a food certification verification and display platform, allowing food professionals to showcase their certifications to the public.

Registration on CertiFoodie is reserved for food professionals. Users must provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration. Creating an account requires a valid email address and a password. Users are solely responsible for the confidentiality of their login credentials and all activity conducted under their account.

CertiFoodie offers the following services: creation of an establishment profile, submission and verification of food certifications, issuance of trust badges, generation of public pages and QR codes, generation of embeddable widgets for third-party websites.

The certification process on CertiFoodie works as follows: users submit their food certification documents through the platform. The CertiFoodie team manually reviews each document to verify its authenticity and validity. If the document is approved, a trust badge is assigned to the establishment and displayed on its public page. CertiFoodie does not issue food certifications and is not a certification body. The platform is limited to verifying and displaying certifications issued by recognized third-party organizations.

Users commit to: providing accurate and truthful information about their establishment and certifications, not submitting falsified or counterfeit documents, keeping their information up to date (particularly certification expiration dates), complying with applicable laws and regulations, not using the platform for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.

The CertiFoodie brand, logo, design, and all graphic and software elements of the website are the exclusive property of Openlime SAS. Users retain all rights to the content they upload to the platform (certification documents, establishment information). By submitting content on CertiFoodie, users grant Openlime SAS a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use this content for the operation of the platform.

The CertiFoodie platform is provided "as is." Openlime SAS does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of the certification information displayed on the platform. The verification performed by CertiFoodie focuses on the apparent authenticity of submitted documents and does not replace a full audit by an accredited certification body. Openlime SAS cannot be held liable for: inaccurate information provided by users, fraudulent use of the platform by third parties, temporary service interruptions for maintenance or technical reasons, indirect damages resulting from the use of the platform.

The processing of users' personal data is governed by our privacy policy.

Openlime SAS reserves the right to modify these ToS at any time. Changes take effect upon their publication on the website. Users will be informed of substantial changes by email. Continued use of the service after modification constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Users may delete their account at any time by contacting support. Openlime SAS reserves the right to suspend or delete an account in case of violation of these ToS, particularly in case of submission of falsified documents. Upon termination, user data will be deleted in accordance with the privacy policy.

These ToS are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute relating to the interpretation or performance of these terms, and after an attempt at amicable resolution, exclusive jurisdiction is granted to the courts of Paris.
